All you Magazine asked me to create a series of illustrations for their September issue. It was an article about how to avoid the common traps that a supermarket has in it to get you to buy more. I created a full page illustration for the intro, a spread and several smaller icons of traps that the article was calling out. It was such a fun job drawing what I love most...food!

We just got back from our trip to Italy which was full of inspiring images, colors, food and art. I tried to keep a bit of a sketch journal as we travelled. We were pretty busy, driving from Venice to Sorrento and then back to Rome, but I managed to sketch a bit. Hope you enjoy these!

Our first stop in Italy was Venice, I had jet lag so I was awake early and listened to the birds chirping outside our lovely window in our hotel. This summer we are planning a trip to Italy. I've always had this romantic notion of driving through Italy and stopping at tiny little towns along the way...enjoying all of the food and coffee that I can. I decided to prepare for my trip by creating a map which shows the cuisine of Italy by region and city. This map has gotten a lot of love on Behance lately and was also featured on this terrific Interesting maps blog. This was a fun project, combining three of my favorite things to draw: maps, hand lettering and food! Here are a few snapshots.
